Arvada police arrested a man on suspicion of lighting trash and dumpster fires in the 7400 block of West 52nd Avenue.<\/p>\n
Police and firefighters arrived at a fire behind a business in Arvada Marketplace on Aug. 26 and found pallets of baled cardboard in flames as well as a dumpster fire behind a nearby building, according to the Arvada Police Department.<\/p>\n
The department\u2019s K9 team tracked the suspect to the 7500 block of West 53rd Avenue, where he was arrested. The man also confessed to setting other recent fires in Arvada.<\/p>\n
The fires caused property damage but no injuries, according to the department. The man was charged with arson.<\/p>\n
Investigators believe there may be other suspects linked to fires reported in Arvada since July 23. Information can be reported to Metro Denver CrimeStoppers at 720-913-7867.<\/p>\n
