A female American Airlines flight attendant was found dead under ‘suspicious’ circumstances with a cloth stuffed in her mouth, two days after she was supposed to check out of an airport hotel.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The unnamed woman, 66, was found in a room at a Marriott hotel at the Philadelphia International Airport on Monday evening.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Officers rushed to the scene at around 10:40pm after the woman was found unresponsive by a cleaning crew, but police pronounced her dead minutes later.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Scott Small said upon closer inspection of the body, it was found that she had ‘a cloth in her mouth.’\u00a0<\/p>\n

Police rushed to the Marriott hotel at the Philadelphia International Airport at around 10:40pm Monday after cleaning crews discovered the woman unresponsive<\/p>\n

The woman, who has not been identified, worked as an air hostess for American Airlines\u00a0<\/p>\n
Philadelphia police are still investigating the death, although Small said there were no signs of forced entry into the room and she is believed to have suffered a ‘sudden death.’\u00a0<\/p>\n
Small noted that the flight attendant was also on ‘several medications’ at the time of her death.\u00a0<\/p>\n
According to 6ABC, several unopened bottles of prescription drugs were also found in the room.\u00a0<\/p>\n
No weapons were recovered from the scene, and no arrests have been made in the ongoing investigation, which is reportedly being led by the department’s homicide unit.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Investigators told Action News that the woman was supposed to have checked out two days before she was discovered.\u00a0<\/p>\n
It remains unclear how the hotel did not made the alarming find for several days, and the\u00a0Marriott hotel group did not immediately respond to a request for comment when contacted by DailyMail.com.\u00a0<\/p>\n
