A government official confirmed that nine Britons are missing in Gaza and that seven have been killed since Hamas’ brutal assault on Israel began on October 7.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Earlier this week, Rishi Sunak said that at least six British people had lost their lives since the conflict began and that ten were missing. The new number was reported on Wednesday afternoon.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Among the dead are 13-year-old Yahel Sharabi, who died alongside her mother Lianne. Her father, Eli, and sister, Noiya, 16, are still missing.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Others killed include 20-year-old IDF soldier Nathanel Young, a graduate of London’s JFS Jewish School , Glasgow-native Bernard Cowan who settled in Israel, close to Gaza, with his wife and three children.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Jake Marlowe was working as a security guard at the Supernova music festival when he was shot dead, like Young, Marlowe was also a graduate of London’s JFS Jewish School. The 26-year-old was an aspiring DJ and musician.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Manchester-native Daniel Darlington was living in Germany at the time of his death and was in Israel visiting friends while staying in the Nir Or kibbutz when he was killed.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
It’s thought that Hamas captured 199 people and are holding them in Gaza as part of the attack that also claimed the lives of 1,400 Israelis.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Ahead of the prime minister’s expected visit to the region this week, Sunak urged colleagues in the House of Commons not to rush to judgement over the hospital blast on Tuesday that killed hundreds.\u00a0<\/p>\n
On Wednesday, shortly after arriving in the Jewish state, US President Joe Biden told Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that ‘it appears as though it was done by the other team, not you.’\u00a0<\/p>\n
The aging Democrat later said that his conclusion was based on ‘data I was shown by my Defense Department.’ The IDF has maintained that the destruction was caused by a Palestinian Islamic Jihad rocket.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Roughly 2,800 Palestinians have been reported killed by Israeli strikes in Gaza.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Another 1,200 people are\u00a0believed to be buried under the rubble , alive or dead, health authorities said. Those numbers predate the explosion at the Al-Ahli hospital on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
Protests swept through the region after the blast at the hospital, which had been treating wounded Palestinians and sheltering many more who were seeking a refuge from the fighting.<\/p>\n
Hundreds of Palestinians flooded the streets of major West Bank cities including Ramallah. More people joined protests that erupted in Beirut, Lebanon and Amman, Jordan, where an angry crowd gathered outside the Israeli Embassy.<\/p>\n
