It was a group of people he could depend on and that sort of fed his creativity,&#8217; she shared.<\/p>\n<p>Kyes enjoyed this aspect of creating the film as well as the special effects involved with filming the horror flick from back in the 80s.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;I actually love it\u2026 there were just lots of great special effects that were real effects, not what you see today,&#8217; she said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;You&#8217;re really trying to fool people, right? You&#8217;re trying to scare them. And so, you have to dream up things, you actually have to cogitate what&#8217;s going to look good on camera, what&#8217;s going to stay within our budget and work and scare people.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>She returned for Halloween II and Halloween III. During this time, she started dating the third film&#8217;s director and writer, Tommy Lee Wallace.<\/p>\n<p>The two eventually tied the knot and she stepped away from acting after she had their two daughters.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>About nine years later, Kyes tried to return to the industry but realized she didn&#8217;t have the passion for acting that she once held.<\/p>\n<p>She transitioned to a career in visual art and became a sculptor.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;I realized something had changed and I really was more interested in visual art and making objects with my hands,&#8217; she said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;There was this big transition in my mind which I owe to all that time I spent sitting on the floor playing with blocks and colors and watching my kids create chaos faster than anything you can imagine and watching all of these strange piles of random objects filling up.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>She also pursued her Master&#8217;s degree at Cal State. After completing her studies, she was hired to teach Introduction To Theater in 2010.
