as he is jailed for one year<\/h1>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>\u00a0Josh Redfern, 25, jumped into the cab of the empty bus parked in Nottingham<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>\u00a0Footage from inside the bus showed he jumped red light before hitting a car<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>\u00a0At time of offence, Redfern was serving suspended sentence for drug offences<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This is the shocking moment a yob stole a bus in a city centre and crashed into a car before going on a 10-mile joyride.<\/p>\n<p>Josh Redfern, 25, jumped into the cab of the empty single-decker bus when it was parked on Peveril Drive, Nottingham, at 8pm on 4 August.<\/p>\n<p>Footage from inside the bus shows Redfern drive through a red-light in Castle Boulevard before ploughing into a parked car.<\/p>\n<p>He then careered on for another 10 miles before he dumped the Indigo TrentBarton bus in Borrowash, Derby.<\/p>\n<p>Nottinghamshire Police released a witness appeal, with Redfern being identified after a CCTV image of him was posted on Facebook.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/27\/17\/77089317-12680699-image-a-11_1698424539123.jpg\" height=\"879\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>This is the moment Josh Redfern, 25, jumped into the cab of the empty single-decker bus when it was parked on Peveril Drive, Nottingham , at 8pm on 4 August<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/27\/17\/77089319-12680699-image-a-12_1698424591183.jpg\" height=\"398\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Behind the wheel: Redfern is caught on footage from the bus taking the vehicle on a joyride<\/p>\n<p>Redfern was arrested and police discovered he stole the bus while serving a suspended sentence for drug offences.<\/p>\n<p>He admitted aggravated vehicle taking, failing to stop after an accident, driving while disqualified and driving without insurance.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>On Thursday, Redfern, of Derby, was jailed for 12 months at Nottingham Crown Court.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/27\/18\/77089305-12680699-image-a-22_1698426362974.jpg\" height=\"928\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>On Thursday, Redfern, of Derby, was jailed for 12 months at Nottingham Crown Court<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/27\/17\/77089311-12680699-image-a-13_1698424681742.jpg\" height=\"434\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Footage from inside the bus shows Redfern drive through a red-light in Castle Boulevard<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/27\/17\/77089325-12680699-image-a-16_1698424732762.jpg\" height=\"413\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Redfern struck a stationary car during his joyride causing extensive damage to the vehicle<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/27\/17\/77089321-12680699-image-a-17_1698424788905.jpg\" height=\"347\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>The bus stolen by Redfern was also extensively damaged during his 10-mile joyride in August<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/27\/18\/77089313-12680699-image-a-21_1698426203176.jpg\" height=\"386\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Police subsequently arrested Redfern, pleaded guilty and was given a one-year jail sentence<\/p>\n<p>Redfern was told the sentence reflected the fact he committed the offences while on a suspended prison sentence for drug-related offences.<\/p>\n<p>He had been jailed for 16 weeks, suspended for 12 months, in December 2022 for possession of Class A and Class B drugs, as well as being concerned in the supply of Class B drugs.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>PC Matt Fisher, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: &#8216;Redfern&#8217;s actions that evening were mindless, reckless and dangerous.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;He climbed inside a bus and set off into busy city traffic &#8211;
