BBC Radio 2’s Michael Ball has been banned from drivinf for six months after being caught speeding in his \u00a360,000 Porsche twice in five months.<\/p>\n
The West End star, 61, was caught on a speed camera exceeding the 30mph maximum limit on a stretch of the A40 on December 4, 2022 and April 30.<\/p>\n
Mr Ball was prosecuted through single justice procedure, meaning police wrote to him at his home to inform him of the offences, the Standard reports.<\/p>\n
He pleaded guilty to one offence and was convicted of the second.<\/p>\n
Mr Ball was sentenced to the six-month driving ban at Lavender Hill magistrates’ court.<\/p>\n

He was also given six penalty points on his licence, ordered to pay \u00a3700 in fines, a \u00a3280 victim surcharge and \u00a3100 in costs.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The singer broke into the West End in a production of Les Mis\u00e9rables in 1985, before going on to star in shows including Hairspray and Phantom of the Opera.<\/p>\n
He has previously been awarded an MBE for services to musical theatre.\u00a0<\/p>\n
