2023 has given me a lot to celebrate. My top moment was finding out Emily and I are having another baby. I celebrated 30 years in showbiz and ticked many things off my bucket list. Amazing things happened in the family, from Princess’ first photoshoot with OK! to Junior’s second single hitting no.1 on iTunes. And seeing my parents twice this year means I’m ending 2023 very happy!

The night before Christmas is just as magical as the big day in our house. Millie and Theo leave out milk and cookies for Santa – and a carrot for his reindeer. Junior and Princess join in to make it special for their younger siblings. I love seeing Christmas through their eyes, it’s so magical. I’ve always been open about the fact that we didn’t celebrate Christmas when I was a child, so when we make these traditions, I’m experiencing them for the first time, too.

We’ve also got out our matching PJs and festive jumpers. I’m a big kid on Christmas Day… and every other day of the year!

I’m the main chef in our house, but Emily is 100% the best at making our Christmas dinner. I love cooking but she’s an amazing cook and 25 December is her department – she loves to take over on that. I help, of course. I’m a good sous chef.

We have turkey with all the trimmings and sides. We also have a full English breakfast, followed by presents, chocolates and movies. We really go to town!

Emily and I do give each other gifts at Christmas, but most of our giving is focused on the kids. Millie and Theo love writing their wish lists and letters to Santa. Junior and Princess are a bit old for Santa now. It makes it easier for us when they write a list of what they want, so we know what to buy. Hopefully everyone will be happy with what’s under the tree on Christmas.

Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without some festive films, and my favourite has always been Home Alone. As much as I love the sequel, Lost In New York, the first is the best. It always makes me laugh and we love watching it together as a family.
