Maya Jama appears to hit out at ex Stormzy

Love Island host Maya Jama jetted back from Ibiza on Friday to support her ex-boyfriend Stormzy in his headline slot at All Points East festival in London’s Victoria Park.

The 29-year-old Vogue cover girl was spotted watching his two-hour set from the photographer’s pit, alongside Idris Elba and YouTuber Chunkz.

The former couple dated from 2015 to 2019 and in May, they were rumoured to have reconciled.

In photos obtained by The Sun, the pair could be seen chatting intimately at the backstage afterparty, following the Vossi Bop rapper’s triumphant show.

Maya recently opened up about the couple’s four year romance, saying: “None of us really knew the level of importance it held to a certain group of people, us being together.

“We were both super ambitious. We were both from similar upbringings and we were both just little grafters that have made something good of ourselves.

“It was lovely when it was lovely, and then you move,” she told the current issue of Vogue.

Following their split, Maya dated basketball star Ben Simmons, 26, however she later confirmed that they had split in an interview with The Times in January.

“I’m really, really single right now,” she said. “Newly single. It’s only been a month… but it’s nice.”

She was also rumoured to have enjoyed a fling with Oscar winning actor Leonardo DiCaprio.

The speculation peaked when she was posted wearing a Leo necklace, which led her to shut down the stories.

Taking to Twitter she said: “I’ve been minding my business on holiday & said I wouldn’t respond/pay attention to any of the silly stories anymore but you need to stop now, that is literally my star sign. We are not dating. Move on please.” (sic)

Meanwhile, Stormzy became emotional discussing their split last autumn, expressing his regret in a Louis Theroux documentary. “My break-up, that was probably the biggest catalyst for growth as a man,” he admitted.

“It was, like, ‘OK, you made a mistake and you lose someone you loved, someone you cared for, someone who is special to you’. Away from someone passing away, that’s the biggest loss you can have. “The whole f***ing palaver that surrounded that situation, do you know what I mean?

“There were other things in terms of mistakes I’d made. I didn’t do what a man should do to fully appreciate, love and care for his woman.”
