Pop star Sia looks virtually unrecognisable as she admits to plastic surgery

Sia looked unrecognisable as she made a rare public appearance as she attended Daytime Beauty Awards in Los Angeles.

For the first years of her fame, Sia, 47, would usually sport a large wig or hat that kept her face covered, but has revealed more of her appearance in recent years.

Attending the awards ceremony the Chandelier singer took to the stage to honour her "good friend" Dr. Talei, with the Outstanding Achievement in Medicine Award.

Expressing her gratitude to Dr Talei, Sia opened up about her own experience of plastic surgery, revealing that she has recently undergone a facelift.

Introducing her good pal and plastic surgeon, Sia said: "I'm a pop star that normally hides my face and doesn't lie about things.

"I received a spectacular facelift from Dr. Talei. He's phenomenal. He's doing incredible work, and it's not just for celebrities like me."

After accepting his award Dr. Talei described the singer as "remarkable" and said: "You may not fully grasp how exceptional Sia is as an individual.

"We share numerous mutual friends, and it’s perpetually surprising to hear them all echo, 'I adore her. She's simply remarkable.'"

Earlier this year Sia tied the knot with partner Dan Bernad in a romantic Portofino wedding at designers Stefano Dolce and Domenico Gabbana's luxurious Villa Olivetta.

The beautiful castle-like estate was also one of the locations of Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker's multiple weddings last year.

Unlike Kourtney, Sia opted for a small ceremony, which was attended by just six guests including the bride and groom.

For the low-key ceremony, the Cheap Thrills singer wore a three-quarter sleeve lace mermaid dress that featured a high neck and buttons down the front.

In photos obtained by People, Sia could be seen sporting a matching veil with lace detailing while her new husband went for a light coloured tuxedo.

The couple exchanged vows under a gazebo decorated with pastel coloured flowers, with the outside area also featuring gold tables with white candles in glass cases.

The star has been private about her romance with Dan and it is not known when they pair first met or when their relationship turned romantic.

However, they were photographed together at the red-carpet premiere of Steven Spielberg’s West Side Story remake back in December 2021.
