‘Mum spent all weekend bonking lover in swanky hotel – and I heard every moan’

My mum and I checked into a country hotel to find her lover sitting in the bar.

She pretended to be shocked, but I could tell it had been pre-arranged. For the rest of the weekend, she bonked him, while I wandered around alone. Even worse, their room was next to mine, so I heard every shriek.

On the way home she begged me not to breathe a word to my dad. It was supposed to be a special mother-daughter trip away.

I spent money on my room and meals simply to provide cover for her. What kind of mother does that?

JANE SAYS: Your mother might be madly in lust at the moment, but she wasted your time and money. Now you’re in an awkward situation regarding your father and, understandably, you’re angry.

I urge you to get tough with her because this is not a game. Whatever issues she has with your dad need to be aired and discussed. Warn her that you refuse to keep secrets or play piggy-in-the-middle.

Give her a time limit and suggest she speaks to your dad, or you will. She acted immaturely and selfishly during that ill-fated weekend away.

Warn her that you will walk out if she ever pulls a stunt like that again. Does she understand how much she’s hurt and insulted you?
