A single woman has shared the ‘relatable’ reason why she doesn’t want children and why she’s perfectly content being the ‘cool aunt’ in her family.
Bree, from Canada, said now that she’s in her mid-20s everyone always asks if she has any kids and her response is always the same: ‘Absolutely not’.
The 25-year-old says she doesn’t want children and the responsibility that comes with being a mum, while dads have all the fun.
‘I would love to be a parent, I would love to be a dad. I don’t get that choice – I would have to be a mother – and there is no way in hell I would ever wanna be a mother,’ she said in a TikTok video.
‘I don’t want the responsibility of being a mother. I want to be the cool parent, I want to have as little responsibility as possible and mothers don’t get that.’

Bree said whenever she explains her reasons to someone else she ‘watches the initial confusion on their face’ before they acknowledge and understand her wishes.
The video has since gone viral exceeding more than 970,000 views and other women praised Bree for ‘knowing what she wants’.
In the comments she added: ‘After seeing all the unappreciated invisible effort my mother puts in for us I could not imagine that being my life!’
Mothers who saw the video ‘immediately’ resonated with what was said.
