Woman shares her custom McDonald’s order – and it’s dubbed ‘f***ing depressing’

A woman's specially-made McDonald's order has been dubbed 'f***ing depressing' after she shared her controversial creation online.

US content creator, Kristy Hawk, 41, divided Facebook with her keto burger, which saw hundreds descending on the comments section to air their opinions. Kirsty usually shares her 'fun and delicious' keto recipes with her followers on social media, but in this instance, there was a strong reaction.

The foodie retained her strict low-carb meal plan, even when she treated herself at the fast food restaurant. In her post, Kristy revealed her snack of choice is a Double Quarter Pounder – that's missing a few key elements.

Kirsty stripped the burger of the bun, ketchup, mustard and onions, and left only regular mayo, light lettuce and pickles.

To wash down her healthy meal, Kirsty ordered a large water.

In her post, she said: "I don’t get McDonald’s often but when I do, I order this to keep it low carb. Also, I like to order it on their kiosk inside. It’s just easier that way and they seem to get it right every time when I do."

She also shared a picture of her burger – but internet users were a little mixed with their opinions of what they were seeing, as the post collected 5,000 reactions and hundreds of comments.

One wrote: "I used to work at McDonald’s when I was a high school teen and let me tell you the whole store laughs at you when you order something like this. I used to be the one making the burgers and if someone ordered this I would grab the whole crew and we wouldcome peek out and try to see what a fool like this looks like."

Another said: "Taking away the bun and suggesting this is healthier is the funniest thing I’ve heard today."

A third added: "I’d be worrying about all of the other s**t and chemicals used rather than just getting rid of a bun."

While one simply stated: "That looks f***ing depressing."

Others were more supportive of Kristy's minimalistic Double Quarter Pounder that helps her keep to her diet.

One said: "That actually looks fantastic. I could imagine sitting down to that."

Another added: "I love this."

While a third wrote: "Damn if this will make me skinny, load me the f**k up."

She later shared a follow-up post defending her order, as well as pointing out that she's paying for it and people should let her order exactly what she wants.
