EastEnders’ Shona McGarty shows off new man as co-stars all say same thing
EastEnders star Shona McGarty looked as stunning as ever as she cosied up next to her man David Bracken.
The actress, best known for playing Whitney Dean, is said to have been dating the Irish musician for a few months. Shona’s new romance comes a year after her relationship with Ben Mitchell actor Max Bowden.
And appearing as smitten as ever on Monday (September 25) Shona shared an adorable snap of the two. Taking to her Instagram, she gave fans a look at her new beau – who is also in the entertainment industry.

In the picture, which was taken at a wedding, Shona looked sensational in a purple figure-hugging gown. Spilling out of the fancy frock, the dress included a wide-open neckline too.
The soap star accessorised with a pendant necklace and wore her famous dark locks in stylish curls. Shona smouldered to the camera while standing next to David – who was dressed in a maroon shirt.
In the caption, Shona penned: “And then my soul saw you, and went.. 'Oh there you are! I've been looking for you.' Totally obsessed… in a really healthy way…”
Unsurprisingly, Shona's loved-up snap went down a treat with her fans and co-stars. Jacqueline Jossa, who plays Lauren Branning, wrote: “Love this for you.”
While Zack Hudson actor James Farrar gushed: “MATE,” followed by a slew of love heart emojis. Similarly, Lorraine Stanley, best known for playing Karen Taylor, commented love heart emojis too.
It's Shona's first romance since she split from her co-star Max, with a source previously telling The Sun that things were getting "too complicated" in his life. Max had just welcomed a baby with his ex after their split months prior.

But now it seems Shona has focused on the future, which aside from a new man, has also meant a new career path for the TV favourite. Shona confirmed she would be leaving Walford to the Inside Soap magazine and said she hopes there's some twist and turns thrown in her exit.
It's reported that Whitney's final scenes will broadcast early next year, when he contract is believed to run out, with producers currently thinking about her exit storyline. Shona has played beloved Whitney Dean since she was 16 but has now taken the decision to leave Albert Square after some gruelling challenges in Walford.
