Body found on beach in search for missing woman, 48, who fell overboard on ferry to Portsmouth | The Sun
THE body of a missing 48-year-old woman has been found washed up on a beach after she fell overboard from a ferry.
Ebla Yusuf vanished on July 22 after she boarded the Commodore Clipper for a crossing between Portsmouth and the Channel Islands.
But cops have now confirmed that Ebla's body was found on a beach in Seaford in East Sussex on July 29.
When the 48-year-old failed to disembark at Guernsey, a major search and rescue operation was launched.
This involved aircraft from the UK and France, as well as Channel Islands Air Search, before the tragic find was made.
A spokesperson for the Hampshire and isle of Wight Constabulary said: "It has now been confirmed this was the body of Ebla Yusuf.

"Her family have been notified and the matter will now be passed to Sussex coroner’s office.
"On 29 July at 9.30pm, Sussex Police located a body on the beach in Seaford, East Sussex."
Her death is not being treated as suspicious.
Jersey police previously said she boarded the vessel on July 22.
