A Place in the Sun presenter Jasmine Harman has opened up about the “extreme mental load” she has been forced to endure recently in a candid Instagram post.

Channel 4 presenter told her 133,000 followers that, while she is choosing to remain cryptic about her problems for now, she will soon reveal the exact nature of her struggle “in her own time”.

The 47-year-old star is currently enjoying some much-needed time away with her family, including cameraman husband Jon and their children: Joy, 9, and six-year-old son Albion.

Posting a stunning, fresh-faced selfie in a bikini top as she posed poolside, Jasmine told her followers: “I’ve not been on here much lately and I know from IG my life looks like one long holiday!

“I’ve had a lot going on, which I will tell you about in my own time,” she continued.

“It’s fair to say the mental load has been extreme, and I just wanted to say to anyone who is dealing with stuff that seems too much; anyone whose obstacles seem insurmountable; anyone who feels like they’re about to crack; you’ve got this!

“You can do more than you give yourself credit for. Don’t be afraid to ask for help,” she added.

“Believe in yourself and know that you will come out the other end with an enormous sense of accomplishment.

“I say to my kids, ‘don’t give up’, ‘be a platinum perseverer’, ‘you can do hard things’ and I’ve been saying the same to myself!

“Thank you to my wonderful husband and everyone who has helped me get to this point – love you all,” she signed off with three kisses. (sic)

In a previous post, Jasmine revealed she finds it “hard to switch off” and even admitted that the “stress” in her life had got so bad recently that she “almost cancelled” going on holiday.

A couple of weeks ago she penned: “I’ve been so incredibly busy and stressed over the last few weeks, almost to the point where I was thinking we’d have to cancel our family holiday.

“But we didn’t, we’re here and I’m going to try my best to switch off and relax,” she added with a sunglasses emoji. “Something I find hard to do at times!

“I realised that even though I didn’t have time for it, and going on holiday was almost feeling like an additional stress, that’s when you need it the most. Nothing is more precious than spending time with family.

“Now we’re off for a siesta!!! Hope you’re all having a good summer!” she signed off with the hashtags #holiday, #familytime and #relax.
