This Morning: Holly Willoughby returns
At the National Television Awards last year, Holly Willoughby shared a cosy photograph of herself and her then-co-presenter Phillip Schofield grinning from ear-to-ear after This Morning won an award.
The duo, who also presented Dancing On Ice together, were still firm friends at the time and can be seen nestling up to each other as they sat amongst their TV pals in the crowd.
In the post, which was shared in October 2022, Holly gushed in the comments: “Thank you… holy moly… we love you… @thismorning … you are the best team, you work so hard to make the show what it is.
“We want to thank each and every one of you for voting… you have made this night an absolute dream… thank you also @officialntas for having us… @joeldommett you are a class act.” (sic)
While Holly’s post was shared months before Phillip’s bombshell resignation from ITV, some users have returned to the comment section, claiming the photo hasn’t “aged well”.

Stephen wrote: “Time to delete this photo,” and Raine added: “This didn’t age well.”
While another Stephen said: “Would have thought all traces of Phillip would have been erased by now.”
Nevertheless, some did criticise the negative commenters, including Surge who said: “Does anyone care nooo get over it…old news now.”
Carole echoed: “Why should she [delete the picture] he is her friend and he hasn’t done anything wrong,” and Sharon wrote: “#BeKind.”

Phillip, 61, resigned from ITV in May after admitting to an “unwise but not illegal” affair with a younger male colleague while he was still married.
In his shock statement at the time, the father-of-two apologised for lying to “ITV, my colleagues, my agent…and most importantly my family”.
Holly, 42, spoke out the following day, revealing she had asked Phil about the affair and he denied it.
She wrote on Instagram: “It has taken time to process yesterday’s news.
“When reports of this relationship first surfaced, I asked Phil directly if this was true and was told it was not. It’s been very hurtful to now find out that this was a lie.”
Following Phillip’s departure, Holly has continued to present This Morning alongside a rotation of co-hosts including Alison Hammond, Josie Gibson and Dermot O’Leary.
After a tumultuous year, stars of the daytime show are expected to attend tonight’s National Television Awards at London’s O2 Arena.
The show is up for the Best Daytime gong against Loose Women, The Chase and The Repair Shop.
