My boyfriend was so upset when he heard an all time kids classic snack was being discontinued, so he cleared the shelves | The Sun
FIRST it was Caramac, and then the Animal bar.
The decision to discontinue the chocolate classics has left fans worldwide devastated, with many taking to social media to express their disappointment.
But some are taking things to the extreme, by heading to the shops and clearing the shelves of the remaining bars.
Alice took to TikTok to share a video of her boyfriend holding an entire box of the Animal bars, which were designed for children and come with a game inside the wrapper.
"When your boyfriend is upset about Animal bars getting discontinued, so he buys the whole box," she wrote over the top.
The video showed Alice tucking into one of the mini chocolate delights, before panning over to her boyfriend Scott, who looked slightly sheepish while holding the box of 60 bars.
"Never a dull day!" Alice captioned the video.
And people in the comments section were quick to express their own anger about Animal bars being axed.
"WHAT NOOOoOoOOOOOO!!!!" one wrote.
"I will buy the company just to save them!"

Nestle confirmed Animal Bar, a fan favourite since 1963, will be discontinued shortly after news that Caramac was pulled from shelves.
The Animal Bar was first manufactured in 1959 and sold by Makintosh's under a different name until a rebrand in 1963.

An Animal Bar is usually designed with two different animals along with their names moulded on the surface of the chocolate.
Nestle said the chocolate bar was discontinued after 60 years "due to the low performance of the product and a steady decline in its sales over the past few years," according to Sky News.
