BONFIRE night is upon us and you are sure to remember, remember the fifth of November after visiting one of these cracking firework events.

So grab your hat, coat and camera . . .  here’s what’s going on near you.

SOUTH EAST: If you are in the Southampton area, make a beeline for Mayflower Park tonight.

The city’s display, right on the quay, is expected to be explosive in more ways than one.

There will be funfair rides for the children, food stalls and live music hosted by Zoe Hanson.

Tickets for the show cost from £6 for kids under 17, £10 for adults. Children under two go free.

SOUTH WEST: Wrap up warm, grab a mug of hot chocolate and watch Guy Fawkes burn on top of the bonfire at Plymouth Hoe.

There will be rides for adults and kids, as well as traditional fish and chips being served up throughout the evening.

The gates open at 4pm, but the bonfire is lit at 7.30pm and the firework display is at 8pm.

MIDLANDS: Anyone who books a ticket to the Fireworks Spectacular event at Alton Towers will automatically gain entry to the Staffordshire theme park.

So you can enjoy the whirling rollercoasters and kid-friendly rides before settling down for a display accompanied by music, lasers and lights.

The event takes place today and tomorrow, 10am until 9pm, and tickets cost from £44pp. See altontowers.com.

NORTH EAST: Now in its  fifth year, the seated “pyromusical” show at 11Arches promises to “light up the night skies” above Bishop Auckland this evening.

The experience will feel festive, too, with fire pits dotted around and vats of mulled wine.

Gates open at 4.15pm today and the show starts at 7pm.

Tickets cost £12 for adults and £6 for under-18s.

NORTH WEST: Manchester’s Freight Island will not only have crackling fireworks, but also a fire garden with scorching sculpture trees and flame-lined paths.

If visiting tomorrow, you will be able to tuck into a roast from the onsite carvery.

There is a molten cheese tub to pour over those pigs in blankets and sage stuffing.

The Bonfire Night event will take place today and tomorrow.

Tickets cost £35 for a family of four, £12 for adults and £8 for kids under 17.

Children under two go free.

LONDON: Some of the major firework events taking place in the capital this weekend may have sold out.

But there is still space at Richmond Rugby Club, which is throwing a huge family friendly bash.

This year’s theme is Monarchy, with fireworks set to music fit for a king.

There will also be rides, mulled wine, hot food and an after-party.

Tickets for tomorrow’s event cost £12 for adults and £6 for kids under 16, while kids under five go free.

WALES: There is more than just fireworks at Milford Waterfront in Milford Haven.

Kicking off at 3pm tomorrow, there will be fairground rides, street food stalls and, best of all, live performances from Blazin’ Squad.
