A NEW holiday destination is set to be on the cards for Brits thanks to a new flight route launching next year.
Singapore Airlines has confirmed that the new route will operate from an airport in London.
According to Travel Gossip, the flag carrier is set to launch flights from London Gatwick to Singapore Changi International Airport from next year.
Five weekly flights will depart from London Gatwick at 10.15am, arriving in Singapore at 6.20am the following day, with a flight time of 13 hours.
The early arrival into Singapore will give passengers the ability to "seamlessly" transfer onto connecting flights to southeast Asia, Australia, and New Zealand, according to the airline.
Flights from London Gatwick to Singapore will depart from March 2024.
