Four teachers were allegedly assaulted in a violent schoolyard attack while protecting a student in Melbourne’s west on Tuesday.

Police allege five female teenagers arrived at Tarneit Senior College to confront a student about 3.50pm.

Paramedics were called to the Leakes Road school, but an Ambulance Victoria spokesperson said no one was taken to hospital.

Police arrested five people at the school.

A woman, 19, was charged with affray and bailed to appear at Werribee Magistrates’ Court on January 8, 2024.

Police said the four other teenagers, all from Tarneit, are expected to be charged on summons with affray and unlawful assault.
