Iranian football fans demand removal of Palestinian flags from stadium

Iranian fans demanded the removal of Palestinian flags and expressed support for Israel in Tehran on Monday.

The incident showcased a rare public display of differing opinions regarding the Middle Eastern conflict.

More than 1,100 people have been killed and thousands wounded on both sides.

A spokesperson said the Israeli military regained control of border communities taken by Hamas fighters during the attack, but Palestinian militants continued firing barrages of rockets, setting off air raid sirens in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv.
