I tried on my mom’s bikinis from the ‘80s, ‘90s, & ‘00s – the tie on the yellow bottoms was really holding everything up | The Sun

AN ocean lover has tried on several of her mother's swimsuits from the '80s, '90s, and 2000s that showcased her figure.

In a blast to the past, she highlighted unique features of the swim looks, including supportive bikini bottoms and chic details.

Camilla Pavann (@camillapavannn) is an outdoor enthusiast who enjoys spending as much time as possible in the water.

She already has a ton of bathing suits for her water activities but decided to expand her collection.

In a TikTok video, she showcased her mother's sense of style by trying on many of her swimsuits from decades past.

The first suit was a red string triangle bikini with blue trim that flattered her figure, but "the quality is just not there" with its elastic waistband.

"The colors are really cute on this one," she admitted.

One of the most captivating swim items was a colorful bikini bottom with unique charms sewn into the sides that were "very interesting."

She tried it on and paired it with a simply white halter bikini top.

"How cute! I'm obsessed with the colors," she gushed as she filmed herself in the mirror.

A few people online helped her figure out what some of the ornaments were.

One commented: "That hand charm is called a figa! it’s a symbol of good luck and protection in Brazil."

"The charm looks like a mano figa to me. It’s an Italian thing. It’s a good luck/evil eye protection charm!" a viewer chimed in.

The last nostalgic piece she showed viewers was a yellow bikini bottom with a green sequin tie on the hip.

"This tie is absolutely not for decoration. It is holding the entire bottoms up," she explained.

The fun didn't stop there as Camilla detailed at the end of the video that there are more swimsuit try-ons to come.

Many people were big fans of how great Camilla looked in the old-school pieces.

"The amount of money I would pay for these," one commented.

"Um, that body! Wow! Oh to be young and fit again!" another praised.
